2021 will be remembered for how COVID disrupted every business worldwide, including in Singapore. This had forced companies to respond quickly and many of these changes involved increased digitization in their business. However, these changes are often costly and normally undertaken by companies that are more modern. Many traditional businesses, especially those in the heartlands including hawkers and small business owners, find it extremely challenging to adapt due to a lack of resources and knowledge. 

This situation troubled the founders of Jiooo, Jocelin, Dennis & Rafe. The three of them have spent years of their life in businesses that were very much intertwined with these small businesses and they were determined to find ways to help them out. After countless nights of brainstorming and interacting with heartland merchants, they came up with the concept of Jiooo to help these merchants and their businesses adapt to the New Normal.

Jiooo is a digital business platform that presents itself as a mobile application, designed to help all businesses, especially small business owners, to incorporate digitization into their business in an easy and cost-effective manner. This is to equip and prepare them to adapt to the new normal that is fast emerging post-Covid.
